Julienne Margaret Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses poetry, drawing, painting, sculpture, and assemblage.
Johnson received a classical education in fine arts at Taylor University in Indiana. Much later, after moving to Los Angeles, Johnson resumed her art studies at Otis College of Art & Design and Art Center College of Design, where she created her own master's program and was mentored by the late Franklyn Liegel.
Johnson lives and works in Los Angeles, and her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the Pacific Asian Museum in Pasadena; the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan; the Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Santa Monica; the Terrell Moore Gallery in Los Angeles; and the Cella Gallery in North Hollywood. Her work is part of the permanent collection of the Arab American National Museum, affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., as well as numerous private collections in the United States, England, Italy, and Canada.
