Elena Polishchuk

Elena Polishchuk is a contemporary artist whose work blends abstract realism and impressionism, capturing the essence of femininity and the poetry of everyday life. Working primarily in oil, she explores the expressive movement of color and texture, transforming ordinary subjects into luminous, emotionally charged compositions.

Her art centers around women — graceful, strong, and deeply human. Each portrait reflects a unique inner world, a moment of sincerity frozen in vibrant brushstrokes. Drawing inspiration from Henri Matisse’s bold expressiveness and love of color, Polishchuk embraces freedom, joy, and vitality as the foundation of her creative language.

Equally captivating are her still lifes, where color and form become tools of emotion. These “paintings about feelings and color” invite the viewer into a world of warmth, light, and harmony — a celebration of beauty found in simple things.

Although self-taught, Elena’s passion for painting began in childhood. In 2023, she began formal studies in an adult art school and soon found her medium in oil painting. The following year, she won First Place in Portrait Mastery at the International Art-Portrait Competition in St. Petersburg, joined the Union of Russian Artists, and participated in an international exhibition in Beijing.

By 2025, Polishchuk had developed her distinctive style — a fusion of expressive portraits and vivid, fantastical still lifes that radiate color, emotion, and optimism.
