Biography

“Life is a farce, the skill is in showing it,” claims the American photographer Richard KALVAR. He creates images that are a bit absurd, comical, often strange, of unknown passers-by in the street. Member of the VU agency he created the Viva agency with other photographers like Martine Franck, Hervé Gloaguen, Claude Raymond Dityvon. Member of Magnum since 1972, he has long been it’s President.
