Drew Merritt

Growing up surrounded by Graffiti covered cargo trains, this budding artist was inspired to pursue an underground career against the law. He found his place in a hybrid of rural and urban culture. It can be said that conventional graffiti culture is in itself, clandestine. Merritt's subjects, however, are characterised by their hope and determination. This juxtaposition yields a tangible visual tension apparent in his spectacular body of work. Drew currently lives in Los Angeles.
