About the artwork

Artwork sold in perfect condition

Work from the Lishma /לשמה series, in Hebrew "in his name" means the disinterested purpose of Jewish study. Here it would be in the name of painting, of a practice entirely in its advents, closer to the expressions of the unconscious than to those of the self. Escape speeches and injunctions, make room for the silence of works and the silence of painting. Let yourself be carried away by what happens unexpectedly every day without repentance or correction. Its geometry is the fruit of an improvisation based on the structure of the “Compositions” series. It marks the return to watercolor work originally initiated on leaving the Villa Arson for the first diamonds. Gestures, lines and flat areas are laid down day by day, they draw the reserves of whites that carry them and integrate all the surprises, setbacks and hiccups along the way. It shows the history of the "dialogue" established between geometry, free gesture and color fields.
