Description
Turn in circles 1, 2 and 3, three inseparable colorings
Going in circles, wasting time, emptying your head but other thoughts take place, other memories...
Sunday morning: I meticulously arrange the apple wedges in the pie, trying to make perfect concentric circles and finish exactly in the center of the pan. But there are wedges left. My mother introduces them in the intervals that she frees up, breaking up my overly polite arrangement a little, but certainly making the tart softer, richer in fruit, before pouring in the migaine which momentarily erases my work...I look at the three mechanical pencils that I have just acquired: one with a graphite lead, the other with a blue lead and the last with a red lead. I decide to start with the graphite lead. I make a circle using as a template the cardboard that the pastry chefs slide under their tarts, then I fill in the disc little by little with small parallel lines while turning in a circle...I learn along the way, the death of Lou Reed, I slide "Berlin" into the turntable, and the record keeps spinning while I keep going in circles and my head keeps filling...

More than twenty years ago now, an artist friend during a walk cut a branch of forsythia attacked by galls from a hedge, telling me that it could be a good subject to paint.
So I took out my brushes and my school paints and reproduced the branch quite clumsily. But the virus took hold, pushing me to paint and progress. My scientific training and observational drawing help me a little for line, time and practice for color.
For ten years, I have accepted the idea of showing my work which revolves mainly around botany, zoology with often a suggested or even suggestive double reading.
I have a personal museum of curiosities which serves as a database for the production of my images.
I mainly use watercolor as a medium but also the repurposing of engravings, objects and photography.
