Description
- Presentation of the work
The Tutu is a pencil and watercolor drawing by Valérie Hadida, a famous artist known for her female characters.
On paper comes to life a pensive young woman captured in a moment where time seems suspended. The artist uses soft, monochromatic tones of pale pink, giving the image a dreamlike, ethereal atmosphere.
The contours of the character are subtly sketched, with fine, fluid lines that emphasize her grace and lightness. The young woman's face is imbued with serenity and contemplation, her half-closed eyes commissure an expression of inner calm. Her hair, abundant and wavy, seems to float around her, as if carried by an invisible breeze, reinforcing the impression of a dreamlike dimension. The curls of her hair are almost transparent in places, blending delicately into the background of the paper.
The attitude of the body, slightly inclined and partially seated, expresses a natural softness and elegance.
Presentation
Valérie Hadida is a contemporary French sculptor and painter, working mainly in bronze and clay.
Her "petites bonnes femmes"/ Little Women, are a poetic encounter meant to make us enter her universe, both feminine and timeless, and feel the emotions that these generations of women felt.
Trained at l'Ecole d'arts plastiques et publicité de la ville de Paris (EMSAT) and employed in the studio of Marielle Polska for 6 years, she has been exhibited in galleries since 1990.
