Description
The most ambitious project to date of Oksana Mas, Altar of Nations, transforms a ritual object into a collective structure, assembling hundreds of thousands of hand-painted eggs into what resembles a secular cathedral constructed from domestic fragments. This approach engages with the tension between sacredness and raw materiality, and resonates with contemporary investigations into cultural memory and its visual expressions.
Presentation
She also invented the individual technique, patented in Ukraine. This is called Oksana Mas technology which includes superimposing 30-40 layers of varnish and oil paints on canvas. Mas Oksana has had more than 80 solo exhibitions. His works are represented in more than 150 private collections in Russia, Ukraine, United States, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Vatican City, Latvia.
