Description
This intriguing artwork presents a circular form, evoking a ring floating against a pristine background. Vibrant hues of blue, green, and black intertwine, creating a captivating interplay of color and contrast. Each shade seems to melt into the next, suggesting fluid movement and visual harmony. The blurred edges accentuate the overall delicacy, while the darker tones add depth and mystery. The lack of perfect symmetry invites the viewer to explore and contemplate.
The technique, achieved by leaving colored markers to rest on paper for several days, allows for chance and the unexpected within the creative process. This color arrangement makes the work a remarkable example of abstraction, where geometric simplicity blends with chromatic complexity.
Presentation
Eric Gouret creates works where perspective, manipulation, and gesture hold an important place. His practice in drawing and installation is closely linked to the world of play. He has a sort of fascination with color, patterns, and collecting. Eric Gouret constantly renews our approach to the world and the everyday by continually reimagining hypotheses of language that emerge through form, color, encounter, or collaboration with others.
