Presentation
Vincent Faudemer is a French contemporary artist, sculptor and plastic artist, born in 1975. He is recognized internationally for his universe inspired by Pop Culture, Pop Art, contemporary design and urban art, in which he revisits the great icons of childhood and popular culture. His emblematic character, Babolex, a stylized elephant with clean lines, has become the signature of his work and has established him as one of the prominent figures in contemporary sculpture. Through this creation, Vincent Faudemer develops an accessible and universal artistic language that interrogates memory, transmission, and the emotions linked to childhood.
Self-taught, Vincent Faudemer conceives sculptures made in resin, bronze, aluminum, and other contemporary materials, produced in limited editions. His work combines a minimalist aesthetic with a great mastery of volumes, colors, and finishes. Lacquered surfaces, vivid hues, metallic or monochrome effects give his works an immediately recognizable sculptural presence. Inspired by major figures of Pop Art such as Andy Warhol or Jeff Koons, however, he places his approach in a personal exploration where the softness of the forms contrasts with a reflection on consumer society, luxury, the desire for objects, and nostalgia.
Throughout his career, Vincent Faudemer has exhibited his work in numerous contemporary art galleries and international fairs in France, Belgium, Italy, Monaco, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, the United States, and several other countries. His works are exhibited at major events dedicated to contemporary art and are featured in numerous private collections around the world. The artist has also created several monumental installations and developed collaborations with luxury houses, galleries, and cultural institutions, contributing to increasing his international reach.
