Description
The art of Nissan Engel can hardly be classified as an art movement. He is undoubtedly more recognized in his works obtained by the use of mixed techniques. Painter, designer, engraver, he also produced numerous collages. The theme of music will prevail over time. The artist's ultimate goal is to achieve balance and harmony.
Presentation
NISSAN ENGEL Born in Haifa, Israel, November 27, 1931. After living for several years in New York, he chose to settle in Paris. Artist, craftsman, innovator, technician, poet, musician, all of these terms are essential to describe Nissan Engel. During a prolific career spanning almost forty years, Engel has developed a unique form of expression, a rich, complex, very personal form that defies any desire for classification. He is an internationally renowned artist, who is perhaps best known for his mixed media, in which he manipulates disparate elements in order to create compositions.
