Description
Nguyen Minh Nam's art deals with culture and show the conflict and confusion between traditional and modern cultural values in contemporary Vietnam. The art often juxtaposes modern characters in traditional scenes to show highlight cultural conflicts and question changes in moral values in contemporary society.
This is a small-medium sized painting on canvas, with a Vietnamese young nude women in make up and holding a teddy bear, hovering against a traditional Vietnamese scene. Perhaps a consideration again on the sexualization of young women in contemporary society.
