This intriguing artwork captures a surreal blend of reality and fantasy. A central figure with striking, pale blonde hair and bold red lips commands the viewer's attention. A butterfly with elaborate detailing rests delicately on their face, symbolizing transformation or duality. The backgroundcontrasts dramatically with towering, abstract landscapes, merging soft pastels and dark, jagged shapes that suggest turmoil and complexity. A mechanical element in the form of a choker further adds to the tension between nature and industry. Presentation
OCTAVIAN NEAGU, was born in 1965 in Romania. He has lived and worked in Copenhagen, Denmark since 1990. His painting belongs to the socialist realism that he experienced in Romania during the dictatorship.
