Description
In the charming painting "Small Breakfast 1" by Zakhar Shevchuk, the viewer is invited to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of everyday moments. This piece captures the essence of a modest breakfast scene with meticulous attention to detail and a harmonious blend of colors. The depiction of a slice of pie on a white plate, accompanied by crumbs and a coffee stain, evokes a sense of quiet morning tranquility.
The artist's use of soft, muted tones and gentle brushstrokes creates a serene atmosphere that draws the viewer into the scene. The composition is both realistic and slightly abstract, reflecting Shevchuk's unique artistic style. The contrast between the clean, orderly elements of the plate and the chaotic, organic coffee stain adds an intriguing visual dynamic, encouraging viewers to find balance and beauty in imperfection.
Zakhar Shevchuk was inspired by the interplay of light and composition in everyday settings. This series of small oil paintings arose from his fascination with how sunlight interacts with objects and the simple pleasure of arranging food and dishes on a table. The painting invites contemplation of these quiet, often overlooked moments, highlighting their inherent beauty and significance.
"Small Breakfast 1" is a testament to Shevchuk's ability to transform ordinary scenes into compelling works of art. Its understated elegance and thoughtful composition make it a perfect addition to any art collection. Whether displayed in a kitchen, dining room, or gallery, this piece will evoke a sense of calm and appreciation for the simple joys of life. Acquire this exquisite painting today and let it bring a touch of serenity and charm to your space.
Presentation
“I try to simplify the form to the point when it feels that nothing else shall be removed and only the essential elements remain. I transfer my impressions and self-reflections about objects into my paintings. I express what I feel rather than how I see, often arriving somewhere between figurative and abstract art." Zakhar Shevchuk
Zakhar Shevchuk is a young professional painter and draftsman, he holds a master in arts degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Kyiv, Ukraine) and now himself teaches at the academy. His artworks are held in public and private collections worldwide, furthermore, he often participates in various public projects, such as painting murals and other monumental installations.
With years Zakhar's artistic style moved away from academic realism (which always tended closer to expressionism) and towards the style that in somewhere on the edge between figurative art and abstraction. In many of his works, even those that may seem as fully abstract ones, you will find some elements that were intentionally added, aiming to trick your brain into believing that you have finally found something recognisable, something that matches the reality, but then you suddenly loose it, starting the search over and over again.
