Description
This work is an abstract acrylic painting on canvas, cut according to shapes - letters from the language : meta graphic art. All of these 10 paintings are independent, mounted on magnetic surfaces. These are then placed by magnetisation on a steel plate.
This research is about traveling in an apparently global abstraction but by this new possibility of being modified, by being able to arrange these 10 mini abstract paintings in as many different compositions. We are in a succession of states: composition, decomposition and recomposition.
In addition to the gesture of the painter is added the gesture of the spectator who can intervene on the work and create his own composition, from this plastic language.
It is in a way an interactivity between the painting object, the author and the observer-actor.

Presentation
Jean-Claude ByandB is a French artist born in 1949 who lives and works in Saint Cyr sur Loire in France. His artistic research was mainly influenced by the 1960s. Characterized by a feeling of both faith and anger, the 60s generated an explosion of extremely exciting and spectacular avant-garde ideologies and movements. On the one hand, the astronomical discoveries of those years impacted positively the whole world. On the other hand, they were years historically set in the context of the Cold War, largely defined by the Iron Curtain that divided Europe both physically and spiritually, and significantly marked by the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961.
