Description
Shipment rolled in a tube, ready for stretching. As the viewer gazes at the artwork, they can't help but be transported into the artist's world, sailing across the ocean for seven years. The artwork captures the essence of the sea and sailing, evoking a sense of freedom and adventure. This series is a stunning visual representation of the artist's journey, showcasing her deep connection with the sea and the vastness of the world. It is a powerful reminder of the beauty that can be found in nature and the importance of exploration and adventure.
Series Love the sea;
The central focus of this series is typography, with quotes written in the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) alphabet, which is used in aviation and sailing to communicate letters and numbers phonetically. The typography is bold and clean, with each letter meticulously crafted and placed to create a sense of balance and harmony, set against a dark background, creating a stark and striking contrast. The use of the ICAO alphabet adds an element of intrigue and mystery to the artwork, as the viewer is invited to decipher the letters and connect them to the words.
The artwork also has a rich history, evoking images of adventure, exploration, and the freedom of the open sea. The quotes conjures up images of ships, sailors, and the vast expanse of the ocean, while the use of the ICAO alphabet adds a layer of technical precision and sophistication.
The artworks in this series are powerful and thought-provoking pieces that combines beauty and function, history and innovation, and the timeless allure of the sea.

Presentation
I'm working as a professional freelance artist since 2003.
In 2009 I changed my life and moved onto a sailing yacht with my husband and two kids. An incredible adventure began: 6 years, 30.000 nm / 55.000 km, 28 countries. Storms, waves, transatlantic passages, the almost incomprehensible size of the Pacific, weeks with no land in sight, isolated islands... but also vibrant cities like Sydney, Panama City and New York, where we anchored in the Hudson river in front of the skyline of Manhattan for months. I spent one and a half year in French-Polynesia and got familiar with the Polynesian culture: Don't rush, take your time, live the moment.
Today I'm living and working in the wonderful medieval city Regensburg (world heritage) on an island in the river Danube.

Artistic Influences:
During the years on the sea I got inspired by the different cultures and people I met, as a result my work changed from abstract art to human faces. But sometimes I'm going back to my roots for abstract work. Mainly in elegant black & white, sometimes with colored accents, sometimes with silver/copper/gold leaves technique.
