Description
Every Sunday afro-Cubans gather in the Callejon de Hammel to play the drums and sing the harsh vocals of rumba. James Sparshatt has photographed a striking portrait of a an afro-Cuban lady smoking a cigar, and Rachael’s interpretations amplify her spirit.
Photographer James Sparshatt and painter Rachael Dalzell are collaborating to create a series of “Neo Platinum” portraits. The process begins with the production of an aluminium print of one of Sparshatt‘s Spirit of Revolution pieces which is then re-interpreted by Dalzell using the vibrancy of acrylic paints and her distinctive technique to bring a new energy and appreciation.
