Description
At the bottom of the work, a text on the humility of the surfer facing the ocean is calligraphed in gold acrylic marker. Stencil work is done. The surfer walking in the ocean surf with his board under his arm is done in acrylic in dark tones of Prussian blue, Indigo and Payne gray. Gold leaves bring light to the edge of the surfboard, echoing the writings.

Presentation
Véronique Baleste, a native of the Bassin d’Arcachon, is an artist whose career is marked by a deep quest for meaning and expression. After studying sociology and a career in teaching, she allowed a long-buried passion to emerge: painting. For sixteen years, this practice has become a vital necessity for her, an intimate language, a way of feeling and celebrating life in all its richness.
About her artTo paint to exist For her, painting is a vital act. It is her way of breathing, of feeling, of saying the unspeakable. Each canvas is an exploration of her being, an attempt to capture the intensity of a moment, an emotion, a fragment of truth.
The human at the core She paints portraits because she paints the human being. Each face is a story, a unique vibration. Through her works, she seeks to reveal the soul behind the features, to celebrate the raw and authentic beauty of our humanity.
A free and lively techniqueAcrylic is her ally. Its fast drying time allows her to work in successive layers, to superimpose materials, to give way to instinct. She mixes in stencils, collages, textures, to enrich her paintings with a tactile and vibrant dimension.
The inspiration of Street art Street art transforms the city into an open gallery. It inspires her with its spontaneity, its expressive force, and its accessibility. She transposes this raw energy into her work, in search of an art that dialogues with the world.
Writing as an inner voiceText has imposed itself in her canvases as a parallel voice. First through quotations, then through her own words, it becomes a breath, a whisper, a scream. It adds a layer of meaning, an inner voice that prolongs the pictorial gesture.
Painting and transmitting A teacher at heart, an artist out of necessity, she builds bridges between these two vocations. As in the classroom, she seeks to awaken, to make people resonate. Each work is a life lesson, a sharing of emotions, an invitation to reflection.
