Lucien Dufour

Lucien Dufour found in art a way to express his deep connection with the world around him. From his early childhood, he showed a natural inclination for creativity by handling gouache, arousing the admiration of his peers and his teacher who proudly displayed his works on the walls of the classroom.

This is how he developed his own artistic vision, shaping a style that skilfully mixes the reality of rural life with a touch of romance and emotion. Passionate self-taught, Lucien Dufour has reached new milestones by participating in various competitions such as “painting in the village" events. These experiences not only allowed him to perfect his technique, but also to build strong bonds with other artists and share his passion with a growing community of admirers.

However, the scope of his art is not limited to the borders of his native village. Through his paintings, Lucien Dufour undertakes journeys that go beyond geographical constraints. His brushes are tickets to destinations such as romantic Venice, mystical China and the enchanting lanes of the Marais in Paris. These distant places had a profound impact on him and breathed a new dimension into his artistic work. Each brushstroke of Lucien Dufour is imbued with a particular sensitivity. His paintings go beyond simple visual representation, they convey the very essence of the places he immortalizes. The colors he chooses, the play of light and shadow he creates, everything contributes to revealing the soul of the places he captures on canvas.
