Description
Introducing 'Wings of Indigo,' a captivating oil-on-canvas by the talented Oaxacan artist, Judith Ruiz. This artwork is a stunning example of Judith's artistic prowess.
A group of chill crocodiles are in symphony waiting for some fun.
Born in Oaxaca, Mexico, in 1972, Judith Ruiz is a versatile artist known for her work in painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Her artistic journey has led to numerous solo and group exhibitions in both Mexico and the United States. Notably, her work has found a home in the collection of the Pascual Foundation.
Judith's art has been selected to represent significant exhibitions, such as 'México: Altar de Muertos' in 2019, held at the Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca (IAGO), and '107 Testimonios: Arte Empoderando a la Mujer' in 2018, hosted by the 'Museo Universum' and 'Museo de la Luz' in Mexico. She is also a member of the 'Colectivo Xicoténcatl' and has contributed to impactful exhibitions like 'Réquiem por Julio Ruelas' at the 'Centro Cultural Universitario de Sonora.'
In her current work, Judith explores the medium of fresco painting, showcasing remarkable technical and conceptual growth. Her art journey traverses influences from pre-Columbian roots to an embrace of lyrical abstraction.
