Description
This artwork presents a striking fusion of classical portraiture and modern intervention. At its center is a vintage-style depiction of a woman's face, exuding a timeless elegance that captivates the viewer. Surrounding this visage is an innovative frame of curled, golden ribbons, adding a three-dimensional and tactile aspect. The ribbons evoke a sense of movement and luxury, framing the face like a radiant halo. Notably, contemporary elements are introduced through bold, pink graffiti marks overlaying the portrait, infusing the piece with an urban, rebellious edge. These contrasting elements blend seamlessly, creating a dialogue between tradition and modernity. This art piece uniquely captures the tension between refined classical beauty and the raw energy of street art, making it both intriguing and visually arresting.

Artist Statement
In the way that a poet would seek to understand language with the goal of approaching the sublime, I have tried to understand painting with similar purpose. The ability to move beyond the literal towards a truth. The tools of a painter are akin to that of a poet, words and their placement, language and its rhythm. I am painting poems, images that dance between realism and abstraction, text and flesh, with the hope that the viewer experiences rather than views.
