Presentation
Born in 1979, Muriel Deumié is a Toulouse-based painter whose work develops between urban abstraction, contemporary writing, and a conceptual approach. Her practice is instinctive and free, guided by gesture, material, and emotion, without pre-established composition, allowing the canvas to direct the creative process.
She works with multiple media: acrylic, ink, spray paint, oil, collage, and digital art, which she combines according to her intuition. Refusing to confine herself to a single aesthetic, she explores several forms of expression, where idea, gesture, and material interact in each series.
Her works, held in private collections in France and internationally, bear witness to a passionate and constantly evolving approach, where creative freedom takes precedence over any attempt at classification. Through her work, Muriel Deumié asserts a personal, intuitive, and engaged style of painting within contemporary art.
