Description
"Vers la lumière" is the portrait of an indigenous person, native of a culture that is endangered in the future entering into the light. What could be his future? That of those indigenous peoples who are facing a change of culture, a change of paradigm, but also a change of climate.
This work is part of the "Faces" series in which I always work from a movement on the support, with primary colours. Then from this abstract movement, I come to bring the figuration, the detail, the story of a character. These works support the sovereignty of peoples and speak of the fight for a newfound freedom and culture.
Surprisingly, Science Fiction comes back in all the works of the series, without me really looking for it... But this inspiration anchors history a little more in a struggle of peoples against an uncertain future".

Presentation
A true jack of all trades, Benjamin Vitrol Vautier Alvarez started with cinema, as an assistant director and director, before pivoting to the world of design (Motion, digital, ...). Designer in agency for several years, he is passionate about photography.
After many unsuccessful attempts, he met Miriama Bono, Artist and Tahitian public figure in Polynesia, who introduced him to Tania Wursig, an Australian painter who gave him a painting class. This will be his first successful painting. A long break of a few years will be necessary for him to find his way. The meeting between the abstract and the figurative, the energy of one reinforcing the finesse of the other.
