Description
This captivating work is a bold and assertive marriage of geometric shapes and vibrant colors. It is distinguished by its balanced composition and ingenious use of space. The centerpiece of the work is a large, vibrant and imposing blue circle, located slightly left of center. This blue circle immediately draws the eye and serves as the focal point of the work. To the right, a large, softer beige circle counterbalances the vibrancy of the blue with a calming serenity. Between these two circles is a central square of a rich, deep brown, which creates a formal yet harmonious separation between the two circular elements. The background is composed of various rectangular and square sections, each painted in distinct shades such as burnt orange, deep burgundy red, subtle green, and pale blue. These varied colors give the entire work a striking visual depth. Another, smaller, green circle, nestled in the lower left corner, introduces additional subtlety and complexity. This smaller circle is boldly contrasted by a pale green square suspended in a rectangular block above. The detailed strokes and delicate materials on the geometric shapes add an added dimension and tactile texture to the work. The slight imperfections and marks visible on the surface suggest human interaction, adding a note of the artist’s personal commitment and meticulous work. In sum, this work is a celebration of purity of form and intensity of colour, mastered with exceptional precision and a unique artistic vision. Presentation
Thomas Danel is a French artist, sculptor. It was her mother Françoise Danel, an artist herself, who taught her all her techniques. He was inspired by his mother's work to end up finding an invoice in his own work. He chose to develop in sculpture. These by their technical quality seem to be made digitally while they are all made by hand. His sculptures are in hollow wood. They are design and bring out the purity of the forms. By their simplicity, they take us into an atmosphere of relaxation, zenitude, relaxing calm.
