Description
This work portrays Anna, the artist’s muse, depicted nude with a towel — a central figure in his ongoing exploration of embodiment, perception, and performative interaction. Anna was also involved in the project “Rhythms of Light”, during which several works were intentionally altered or damaged as part of an experimental process. This painting is among the few that survived intact, carrying the memory and energy of that moment.
The piece represents a deliberate investigation of color vibration and chromatic contrast, balancing hot and cool tones to create dynamic tension and visual resonance. Through this experiment, the artist captures the interplay between presence and transformation, permanence and fragility, making the canvas both a record of a person and an event in the life of the practice.
Executed with sensitivity to gesture and form, this painting transforms the nude figure into an embodiment of process, experimentation, and improvisation, linking it conceptually to the artist’s broader performative and painting practice.
