Presentation
Chris Carolina was born on the west coast of France, in 1972. He currently lives and works between Paris and New York.
He received an artistic formation at the French school of fine arts. He then specialized in watercolor and oil painting. He discovered photography with a model who would become both his wife and his muse. She will be the only subject of his pictures for three years. He came to realize that photography would be a fundamental element of his life, for it gave him the chance to enter a world of aestheticism and elegance. His pictures caught the attention of some modelling agencies that started recruiting him. From this moment onwards, he would focus his lens on other subjects, improving his compositional and framing skills, which will prove valuable in his future career.
Gifted with a great sensitivity for light, he exalts the feminine figure in his outdoor pictures.In 2000, he fully devotesd himself to fashion photography. His work reveals a sublime taste for colors, an emphasis on feminine beauty, and a meticulous composition.
Chris works in his Parisian studio where he shares his passion and talent, setting up private workshops for celebrities
Since 2006, he has mixed his two arts, painting and photography, producing several collections. His work is a mix of styles and genres. He seeks purity, love and sincerity. He places the female subject at the center of his composition and artistic motivation. The result is a lively, aesthetically pleasing and harmonious painting, which represents the fruit of an overflowing and heady passion.Since 2009, he has been represented by the Nicolas Laurent & HK Art Agency, which currently plays an active part in the French cultural milieu, promoting and exhibiting new artists all over Europe.
