Description
This artwork, both enigmatic and hypnotic, stands out due to its masterful combination of vibrant colors and complex textures. Dominated by bright shades of yellow and green, this painting seems to capture the essence of an abstract landscape that invites contemplation. The upper part of the work features a radiant yellow, evoking a sunny sky or golden light. Subtle splashes and integrated hues provide a luminous depth that draws the eye. This brightness blends skillfully into the middle section, marked by the juxtaposition of various greens that evoke a lush nature, perhaps symbolizing flora or fauna. One of the most striking aspects of this piece is the distinct horizontal line that serves as a point of tension and transition between the yellow and green. This line, though thin, is imposing and structures the work, giving a sense of geometric intent and stylized contrast. Below this boundary, black strokes and bursts of color seem to intertwine and unravel, creating a complex network of lines and shapes reminiscent of roots or branches. This intricate patterning offers a tactile and dynamic dimension, suggesting movement and vitality. The use of texture is equally remarkable. Layers and splashes of paint add a sensory materiality, giving the impression that the work evolves before the viewer's eyes. It is this dynamic interplay of colors, shapes, and textures that makes this painting a unique and captivating piece. In short, this work is a brilliant achievement of contemporary abstraction, managing to evoke deep and varied emotions through an ingenious combination of bright colors, fine structures, and rich textures. A true masterpiece that attracts and holds attention through its complex beauty and inexhaustible depth.
Presentation
It was in the midst of political upheaval in Iran that Maryam arrived in Paris in October 1979.
His first goal was to learn French. The second, to prepare for the entrance exam to the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.
She passed the competition and five years later, she obtained her drawing diploma with honors. It was on this occasion and as a reward that she was invited to exhibit at the gallery of the great mass of fine arts, rue Mazarine, a series of her works on the theme of the “circus" which had a great success.
Then, attracted by lithography and screen printing, she practiced these techniques for two years in the workshops of Abraham Hadad and Michel Salzmann.
She then wanted to complete her training by acquiring the theoretical aspects of the Art. She therefore enrolled at the Sorbonne where she graduated with a master's degree in visual arts.
Finally, several years later, Maryam joined a decoration school and therefore had, alongside this artistic career, the opportunity to work as a decorator and plastic arts teacher.
Since 1986, collective exhibitions have taken place across France. From the 2000s, his work was exhibited around the world, including the United States (Dallas and Washington), Europe (Sweden, Spain, Italy, Belgium) and China (Beijing).
