Description
The mirror as a passage to another self and another world...
Graciela Castellano-Saavedra is an Argentine artist born in 1941, known for her significant contributions to painting and sculpture. Since settling in France in 1976, she has developed a neo-figurative style influenced by her childhood in the Argentine Pampas and her experience of exile. Her work is marked by rich colors and emotional depth, often imbued with nostalgia and a search for inner meaning.
Her artistic career has been marked by numerous prestigious exhibitions, notably at the Grand Palais in Paris, as well as in various cultural institutions throughout France. She has collaborated and exhibited alongside her husband, photographer Clément Saavedra, which has enriched both her personal and artistic journey.
Graciela Castellano-Saavedra continues to create works that explore themes of identity, exile, and memory, employing mixed techniques to convey a wide range of emotions and universal experiences.
She is represented by the Studio Idan Art Gallery.
