Description
In this work, titled “Passione," I aimed to capture the essence of passion and desire through the intimate act of a kiss between two women, using elements of pop art and minimalism. The abstract depiction of red lips, symbolizing sensuality and tenderness, is emphasized by the contrast of black lines and a white background.
The minimalistic contours of the women's faces and lips allow the viewer to focus on the moment of intimacy and passion, avoiding unnecessary details, which adds intrigue and elegance to the composition.
The inscription “Passione" between the passionately kissing lips introduces a poetic element, further enhancing the emotional intensity of the piece.
This artwork is part of my exploration in erotic art, where sensuality and femininity are expressed through simplicity of form, maintaining depth and emotional impact.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
