Description
The artist seeks to awaken these feelings to raise our perception, thus creating a different perception contributing positively to the impact caused by humans leading to degradation. Spheres are conceived as a hologram of growing fruits, turning branches and invisible forces taking place in the inner quantic space where marvelous animals strive to survive, a reminder of how everything in the visible world is connected, and life prevails even as a memory, for the next generations, could be a lost paradise. Jorge Calero´s depiction of the wildlife aims to bring back the feeling of awe and love towards nature by enhancing chromatically and formally the feeling of fantasy it creates in us as we reached the point of exhaustion in terms of ecological resources.
Presentation
Established Colombian painter based in Portugal who was influenced primarily by artistic background after growing up in the lush tropics of Colombia. His main artistic focus is the essence of light, which he explores to encourage an emotional interpretation of visible and quantum realities revealed by the subtle boundaries between light and form.
