Description
I wanted The Lovers in Love to look comfortable, ageless, of indeterminate origin or nationality and without boundaries, but above all, at ease with themselves. Each of my Lovers comes from my memory and imagination, my feelings, my memories, some good, some not so good, but I try to focus on the good ones, a dance I remember, a hug after a long time apart, or hold someone very dear to me. Ta loves to be bold and untamed. She experiments with vivid colours and the finest oils. Her painting style is free fluid and void of inhibitions. She gives her lovers plentiful and sensual curves. They have an intimacy only lovers can share; they are free of age, origin and nationality. They are free and in tune with each other.
Presentation
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui,
just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings?. are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly
representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today.
Ta Byrne's Artistic journey
Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of
Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
Collections and exhibitions
Ta's Painting feature in private collections across over 63 countries, ranging from
Australia to Spain, and from Hong Kong to Malibu Beach. She has had a solo
exhibition at the Peter Dougie Art Gallery in Koh Samui, and the Six Senses hotel Koh Samui has graced the walls of The Apple Gallery in Bath and the Masa-UK Art Gallery in Manchester in the UK.

Artistic Influences:
My inspiration comes from my imagination along with; Claude Monet for his use of colour, his expressiveness, detail and the softness of his beautiful paintings. Vincent van Gogh for his bold use of colour his expressiveness, and I like to think I'm a little impulsive like him, and Lowry for his simple but very sophisticated work.
