Dive deep inside yourself, 2024

Olha Trikolich

What do we know about ourselves? How deeply do we know our inner world? When I was creating this picture, I thought that the hustle and bustle of the outer world took a person far away from his inner world. A person turns into a wooden dummy, living on automatic. People do not remember themselves and do not know who they are, what they love, or what they want to do. They do not see their path destined by fate, they have forgotten the talents given to them from birth. I want the picture to make every person think and remember their real selves.

This picture took part in Art Fair in Lavra Gallery, Kiev, October 2024.

This artwork masterfully juxtaposes a wooden mannequin against a vibrant tapestry of blooming flowers. The mannequin, depicted in mid-motion with limbs outstretched, appears to float amidst an explosion of richly colored petals in pinks, yellows, and blues. The wooden texture of the figure contrasts sharply with the soft, delicate florals, creating a dynamic tension between organic and inanimate elements. The background's dark hues enhance the luminous quality of the flowers, emphasizing their intricate details and the mannequin's smooth surface. The composition evokes a sense of movement and transformation, inviting deeper reflection on the relationship between nature and artistry. This piece captivates with its intricate play of color, texture, and form, showcasing an innovative blend of realism and abstract expression.
