In this work, the delicacy of the human face confronts the imposing presence of insects. The delicate pencil drawing captures a suspended moment: a female figure, her eyes closed, enveloped in a translucent veil, as if immersed in a meditative or dreamlike state. In contrast, three bright green beetles land on her veil, occupying the space with a striking organic force.
The work questions our relationship with the living: who is observing whom? Humans and insects intersect in a silent encounter, where fragility and power seem to intertwine. The division of the image into four parts, marked by thick black lines, adds a graphic dimension that can evoke a fragmentation of the gaze, a showcase, or even a window onto another world.
Through this work, I seek to provoke reflection on the coexistence between humanity and nature, on the strange beauty of the minuscule and on the way in which we perceive the beings around us.
