Description
In this painting, I sought to explore the timeless connection between a man and a woman, capturing the delicate balance between love and passion through the prism of sensuality. The black and white palette evokes a vintage, retro-inspired aesthetic, enhanced by striking red accents that symbolize the fiery intensity of their emotions.
This work embodies the essence of erotic art while preserving the elegance and sophistication of Art Deco and Pop Art influences. The nude female form, with her breast exposed, celebrates the beauty and vulnerability of the female body, contrasted with the composed presence of the gentleman. Together, they form a romantic and glamorous narrative that reflects the love between a man and a woman - intimate, passionate and eternal.
The minimalist composition highlights the moment just before their lips meet, a fleeting second filled with desire and anticipation.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
