Description
This captivating work presents an intriguing fusion of human and abstract forms. The masked face at center right, adorned with colorful patterns, exudes a mystical aura. To the left, a dark, almost spectral figure appears to emerge from the darkness, with touches of blue illuminating its enigmatic expression. In the foreground, a fetal child lies in an embryonic position, enveloped in pink and red hues, symbolizing nascent life. Fluid curves connect the child to a vibrant spiral, evoking the cycle of life and energy. The background, dominated by a luminous circle evoking a star, enriches the composition and creates a dynamic tension between light and shadow. The work as a whole raises questions about identity, birth, and interconnection, while inviting the viewer to explore the vibrant depths of humanity.
Presentation
The artist Ozval Dje was born on November 21, 2001 in the sub-prefecture of Maminigui, more precisely in the Marahoué region.
Passionate about painting since the age of 7, it was after his secondary studies and obtaining the BEPC at the modern high school BAD of Gohitafla that he entered the Lycée d'Enseignement Artistique (LEA) in Abidjan. After three years of training, he obtained an artistic baccalaureate with honors. This diploma allowed him to join the BEAUX-ARTS (ENBA, now ESAPAD), where he met several masters of painting, such as Mr. Konan Pascal, and others. no time.
Faced with his unanswered questions about love and the maternal bond, he realized that if even mothers don't know the answer, why are they willing to sacrifice so much for their offspring? For him, it is a mystery that cannot be understood in women. This is how Ozval Dje decided to promote women and childhood through his art, using his artistic approach of "questionism" to show how women and men remain a true mystery. He emphasizes that even by asking countless questions about women, we will never be able to understand them.
