Description
This artwork is a captivating portrayal of a dramatic sky, bursting with vivid reds and oranges that seamlessly blend into softer blues and grays, evoking a sense of fiery intensity. The horizon bridges a dynamic contrast between the tumultuous clouds above and the calm, reflective surface below. The lower section of the painting features a serene landscape, suggesting vast open plains or perhaps a calm sea meeting the horizon. The use of color and fluid brushstrokes create a sense of motion, as if the sky is alive with energy. The reflective qualities in the lower third add depth, creating an illusion of the sky's grandeur extending downwards. This composition captures the viewer with its emotive use of color and atmospheric depth, inviting contemplation of nature's power and beauty.
Presentation
Annette is an artist living and working in southern Germany. She discovered her love for art an early age. She has worked as a doctor, and she is a self taught artist. Her inspiration is drawn from color, shape, proportion and mostly from light. She highly values oil paintings because it gives her a huge variety of technical means for creating a picture in which she can express everything she wants. The theme of her art can be everything, but her essential intention ist o bring out light and width and expanse, at last a feeling of freedom. Her style of painting changes between controlled and experimental, using the traditional oil technique as well as the mixture oil and acrylic colour.
She says of herself:
“As an autodidact, I work from the awareness that I am not beholden to anyone. I don't have to strive for an “individual handwriting" or paint in a certain direction. The only strict judge of my pictures is myself. This large amount of freedom gives me plenty of room for new image ideas."
