Description
According to the French Pascal Vilcollet: "In painting, there is the construction phase, which is to learn and assimilate things; and there is this deconstruction phase, where one strips oneself of everything and becomes more sincere." This mantra, the artist applies it, in the context of the exhibition, to the floral still life. It is this classic motif that he deconstructs, returning to the essence of the gesture, on luminous and stripped-down backgrounds, to give birth to poetic and evanescent works.
This captivating work features a bold fusion of colors and shapes, creating an intriguing visual experience. Strokes in a varied palette of vibrant colors, overlap in a chaotic manner; blurring the boundaries between abstraction and figuration.
