Description
This captivating artwork features vibrant graffiti executed on a subway map.
The bright colors—pink, orange, and blue—contrast boldly against the map's pale background, transforming a simple navigation tool into a living canvas. The intricate, interlocking lettering demonstrates an impeccable mastery of the graffiti style, with each curve and line adding movement and dynamism to the work.
Subtle green silhouettes dot the map, providing an elegant touch that guides the eye through the reworked metro network. The signature at the top right speaks to the artist's unique and rebellious identity, proudly claiming the urban space. This harmonious ensemble of colors and shapes creates a bold visual fusion, transforming the ordinary into a dynamic and expressive artistic spectacle.
Presentation
Born on May 5, 1983 in Pakistan, ENCS lives and works in Montreuil, France. He was 6 months old when he arrived in Saint-Denis with his family. He discovered graffiti at the age of 13 and was captivated by a Mode 2 wall at the Porte de Montreuil flea market. A self-taught artist, ENCS began painting graffiti at the age of 16. Since then, he has painted daily in all media: on the canvas of his studio or on the walls of numerous vacant lots and industrial wastelands. More recently on smaller supports such as metro maps, billboards etc... With just over 35,000 followers, ENCS is well known in the world of graffiti!
