Description
This vibrant ink painting on paper features an array of dynamic colors, capturing the essence of an abstract sunset. In the center, a luminous orange circle evokes a bright sun, surrounded by energetic lines of purple and green, evoking the rays of twilight. Shades of blue and red blend seamlessly, adding visual depth to the landscape. The blend of yellows, greens, and oranges in the lower portion shows a shimmering reflection on a watery surface. The fluid gesture of the touches of color contributes to the creation of a dreamlike and expressive scene. Presentation
Isabelle Marie is a painter and textile designer. She holds a degree in arts from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
"My recent paintings are made on paper with mixtures of colored inks, watercolors and acrylics. The painted scenes are dreamlike, visionary and poetic. They constitute preparatory studies for larger format works.
My artistic creation explores the world of the living, borrowing the language of dreams. My paintings evoke images of nature and its multiple contrasts, on the border between the imaginary and the real, the visible and the invisible.
Plants, animals, the sun behind the clouds or reflections on the water constitute the motifs of the landscape which is built around an apparent perspective. The use of strong and acidulous colors allows to transmit the joy and the vivacity of the energy which surrounds and animates all things."
