Description
This artwork immediately captures attention with its complexity and visual harmony. Bold and varied shapes intertwine, evoking futuristic architectural silhouettes. The soft tones, ranging from earthy brown to pale green to subtle gray, establish an atmosphere that is both serene and intriguing. The gentle curves contrasted by straight lines reinforce the balance and depth of the composition. The spheres and cylinders, skillfully joined with triangles and rectangles, create a captivating visual dynamic. The artist successfully combines abstraction and architectural suggestion, blurring the line between reality and imagination. The piece invites the viewer to a mental exploration, speculating on an enigmatic city, propelling our imagination towards unknown horizons.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
