Description
TX4, an assemblage by Marcel Speet. This work is characterized by an interplay between textiles, photography, and acrylic, inviting the viewer to explore layers and structures. The textile elements are carefully sewn and stretched, creating a dynamic relief that reinforces the visual rhythm of the piece. The combination of matte and glossy surfaces creates an intriguing interplay between flatness and volume.
TX5 is part of an ongoing exploration of materials and structures, where different elements complement each other and form a coherent whole. This work is currently on view at [insert gallery or platform where the work is for sale here].
Marcel Speet's artistic practice focuses on the interaction between media and the perception of space. His work invites contemplation, emphasizing the physical and visual properties of the materials used.
Presentation
Marcel Speet (Netherlands, 1951) creates paintings, paper works, and textile sculptures. His work explores the tension between organic and artificial forms. His works offer a preverbal experience, prior to conceptual formulation. Each work develops into a coherent configuration whose internal relations continue to reveal themselves over the course of observation. He uses color, form, and structure through superposition, friction, and transformation.
Marcel Speet lives and works in France, near Bordeaux.
