Description

In "The Last Supper" we encounter an abstract landscape that oscillates between order and dispersion, between structure and chance. The work captivates with its circular composition, inscribed into the surface like a geological imprint or a silent cosmic trace. A dense field of the finest particles unfolds around this form—not painted in the classical sense, but composed of collected paint residues.

These paint residues, created from the leftovers of other works, are elevated to the central material here. They are tiny fragments of dried acrylic paint – remnants of the painting process that are overlooked or discarded as a byproduct in most studios. However, the artist transforms them into a new form of painting, one based not on the application of fresh paint, but on the reuse, condensation, and rearrangement of pre-existing substance. Thus, they become a memory image – an image from the history of other images.

The circular layout of the work creates a concentrated stillness. The empty inner space appears almost like an eye or a crater, surrounded by rotating layers of colored particles. This poetic yet almost scientific impression—somewhere between cartography, sedimentary stratification, and astronomy—invites closer observation. Despite the abundance of color, the work remains restrained, even contemplative. It opens up an experience of time, materiality, and the cyclical nature of creative processes.

is not only an aesthetic object, but also a quiet reflection on sustainability, recycling, and the hidden beauty of the overlooked. It combines fragility and density, memory and presence—a meditative gaze on what remains.

Presentation

Born in Bad Segeberg, my life's journey has taken me to vibrant locales such as Brazil, Spain, and the USA. I pursued my passion for art at the prestigious Falmouth School of Art and Design in England and complemented this with a diploma in Geography from Marburg University.

Since 1997, I have had the privilege of showcasing my work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in cultural hubs like Antwerp, Berlin, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and Mainz. My artistic journey also involves organizing workshops focused on experimental and expressive painting, sharing my techniques and vision with fellow art enthusiasts.

From 2007 to 2014, I operated a production gallery in Mainz, fostering a creative community. Since 2014, I have been based at my studio in Langendellschlag 62, Wiesbaden, where my creative ideas come to life. In 2021, I expanded my artistic reach by opening "ARTLET," a dedicated art outlet in the heart of the city, making my work more accessible to a broader audience.

My diverse experiences and passion for art continue to drive my creativity, allowing me to inspire and be inspired in return.
