Description
This fascinating work presents a lively interior where the artist captures an intimate moment. At the center, a nude woman rests on a sofa, her pose evoking quiet serenity. The space is cluttered with various objects: a table with plates, a vibrant red bicycle, and scattered books, adding narrative depth. A black and white cat observes the scene, adding a touch of curiosity and life. The play of mirrors reflects the woman's image, creating a mise-en-abîme effect that questions the viewer about reality and illusion. Purple and brown tones dominate, creating a warm and mysterious atmosphere. The bold use of perspective and the haphazard arrangement of objects enrich the visual richness and complexity of the work. This piece is a masterful exploration of space and intimacy.
Presentation
Barcelona, 1953A post-impressionist painter who, over the years, has extended his register to include cubist and expressionist shapes.
Ramon Moscardó does friendly paintings with a strong regional flavour of traditional exteriors, cafés and bars in Barcelona, Cadaqués and so on. He also does shop interiors with characters, cats and violins. Nostalgia is often found in these spaces and in their still lives.
His barely defined, yet virtuous and brave drawing makes the painting something magic.
Since 1990, he has been living in Cadaqués, although he never stops travelling in search of new impressions to transform them into sensations through his brushstrokes.
Original graphic work has also been part of his creation for many years. He periodically exhibits in Barcelona and Sant Cugat.
