Description
In this sensual painting, I explore a fusion of impressionism and minimal abstraction to capture the languid essence of summer.
I portray an abstract nude woman, her body reclining in a slow rhythm, the curve of her breast and a soft hint of a nipple emerging as a subtle celebration of femininity.
The female portrait is merged with the surrounding nature – palm trees swaying in the heat, warm beige and deep green tones flowing across the canvas. On the table, a still life unfolds: a bottle of wine and a bowl of ripe fruits, symbols of pleasure and abundance.
This work is not about precise realism but about mood – the embrace of heat, the taste of summer, the intimacy of skin against sunlit air.
Through the balance of impressionistic strokes and figurative abstraction, I invite the viewer to feel both the physicality of the female form and the timeless serenity of a sun-soaked day.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
