Julietta, 2025

Svitlana Van Rossum   New & remarkable Artists

“Julietta" is an experimental work that is part of the “Becoming" series.

In it, the artist explores new color combinations, moving away from familiar solutions to create unexpected pairings that shape the mood and visual rhythm.

The figure evokes a theatrical heroine, captured in a moment, filled with inner drama and beauty.

The interplay of warm and cool tones emphasizes the figure's plasticity, while bold color accents give the image a sense of inner strength and presence.

This work is part of the artist's search for her own visual language, where each experiment brings her closer to her unique voice in art.

“Becoming" is a series of works in which I explore my path as an artist — a kind of real-time diary.

Each canvas marks a stage of my inner and professional growth: from the first intuitive decisions to more conscious and confident forms.

In these works, I allow myself to remain in the process — to change, to search, to make mistakes, to discover something new.

Figures, colors, and rhythms become visual markers of my creative development.

They hold within them silence and strength, doubt and clarity, movement and pause.

This series is not about a final destination, but about the journey — where each work is another step toward my own voice in art.
