When Everything Went Quiet, 2025

Alisa Leonets

This work is about the moment when you are left alone with yourself. When the external fades away, and all that remains is the path inward. No noise, no reference points — just silence and a slow return to self.

It's not about loss, but about realization: there's nowhere else to search. And that's when you begin to hear.

This captivating artwork presents a surreal landscape where the vibrant fusion of reds and pinks dominates the sky, evoking a dreamlike atmosphere. The painting captures a series of smooth, rounded mountains bathed in the glow of a setting sun, casting soft shadows that enhance their form. A luminous moon rises, adding depth and mystique to the celestial scene. In the foreground, a meandering river of silver-blue weaves through clusters of shadowed evergreens, providing stark contrast against the vivid background. The fluid lines of the river guide the viewer's eye through the composition, creating a sense of movement and tranquility. The use of bold colors and sweeping brushwork illustrates an imaginative blend of reality and fantasy, inviting reflection and exploration of nature's beauty. This piece uniquely combines serenity with the bold intensity of its color palette, making it a striking visual experience.
