Description
This striking work captures a young child sitting at the edge of a pool, contrasting the innocence of childhood with the vastness of the water. The child, with tousled hair and wearing a red swimsuit, wears bright orange armbands, symbols of safety and hope. Beside him, a green rubber duck rests casually, adding a touch of playfulness to the scene. The beautifully rendered water surface reflects the sky and surrounding vegetation, blending vibrant hues of blue and green. The metal railings and dark pool surround structure the image, guiding the eye toward the center. The juxtaposition between the child's fragility and the pool's unknown depth evokes themes of courage and discovery.
Presentation
Born in 1980, Maude Ovize is a French artist, living and working in Lyon.
Graduated from the fine arts of Saint Etienne, she moved to Lyon in 2005 and works since the question of the motif in painting. She is part of a collective of artists working in a workshop on the slopes of the Red Cross, the Mecca of the Lyon creation.
In her journey around the question of the motif, Maude Ovize is currently working on a series devoted to water which she explores all aspects: sensation, matter, light, color.
His work is sensitive and sensitive, almost sensual and comes to find in us what would be akin to a bodily memory.
