Description
This artwork depicts a pond of water lilies floating delicately on serene water. The leaves, in a vibrant palette ranging from soft pink to deep green, seem to form a soothing, natural carpet. At the center, a white water lily flower stands out, a symbol of purity and tranquility, its meticulously detailed texture reflecting the light. The bright yellow background adds a touch of warmth and energizes the composition while contrasting harmoniously with the pastel hues of the water lilies. The artist succeeds in capturing a scene of tranquil beauty, where each element is revealed in perfect balance. The varied and carefully chosen shades demonstrate a highly personal artistic sensibility, offering the viewer total immersion in a world of nature and color. This painting invites contemplation and escape.
Presentation
Agnès Tiollier – Painter, The Art of Light and Colors
Born in Lyon into a family passionate about art, Agnès Tiollier immersed herself in the world of painting from a very young age. Attracted by colors and drawing, she dreamed of becoming a stylist and naturally explored the world of textiles and design.
After studying Applied Arts, she developed her talent through silk painting, a practice that refined her sense of color and mastery of line. This apprenticeship allowed her to perfect her technique before turning to oil painting, a medium that became her true mode of expression. Between shadows and lights, transparencies and opacities, her works reflect a constant search for harmony and emotion.
Her passion for color leads her to dry pastel, a medium she works with with the sensitivity of a painter, allowing her to capture vibrant hues and a unique velvety texture. Inspired by nature, Agnès Tiollier draws her subjects from the heart of remarkable gardens, landscapes filled with light and wonder. Among her inspirations are Monet's garden in Giverny and Yves Saint Laurent's famous Majorelle garden, to which she has dedicated around twenty works.
She exhibits in France and abroad and is a member of the Société des pastellistes de France. She regularly participates in the Art Capital fair, among other things, and has been awarded prizes for both pastel and painting.
Today, Agnès Tiollier's creations are part of many private collections in France and internationally, testifying to her talent and her unique artistic universe. Through her art, she invites us on a sensory journey where light and color become real emotions.
