Corbeau, Circa 2020

Lili Tao   New & remarkable Artists

This captivating work features an oval portrait of a young woman with white hair adorned with green leaves.

A mysterious black crow perches on her shoulder, its beak delicately resting on her face. The woman's expression, her eyes half-closed, evokes a subtle melancholy. A white flower blooms at the base of her neck, contrasting with the soft color palette of the pale green background.

The coexistence of the crow and the young human figure suggests an intriguing symbiosis of innocence and mystery. The leaves and the flower bring a natural and dreamlike dimension.

The artist masters the art of contrast, merging nature and mystery in a composition that is both simple and deeply evocative. This painting captivates with its symbolic depth and harmonious aesthetic.
