Description
The oil painting depicts a baby astronaut wearing a space helmet. The baby is positioned atop a hill made of stacked human skulls, which creates a striking and unsettling image. Despite the macabre nature of the hill, it is adorned with an abundance of tulip flowers, symbolizing beauty, renewal, and the cycle of life. This contrast between life and death, innocence and darkness, creates a thought-provoking atmosphere in the artwork. The image raises questions about the fragility of life, the juxtaposition of beauty and mortality, and the exploration of outer space by an innocent figure.
